Basketball Housing Coordinator

3STEP Sports Basketball is seeking an organized and motivated Housing Coordinator. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the event operator to maximize the hotel programs, and to assist clubs and teams to secure their rooms with the housing company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor event housing program for sports tournaments, for maximum hotel room night production
  • Develop and maintain relationships with event operators and clubs through outreach (call/text/email) to help them secure rooms.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with housing provider, internal or external.
  • Monitor event hotel programs for hotel compliance.
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with teammates for continuous improvement of processes and services

  • Demonstrate excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in event housing software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Google docs
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills
  • High energy, passion, and drive to be successful
  • Willingness to work occasional non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends
  • Work closely with basketball department to maximize hotel program.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are mostly regular business hours. Occasionally, hours will include evenings and weekends. This position is in person at 3STEP’s headquarters in Wilmington, MA.

TRAVEL

Not required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or sports management, or hospitality experience; preferred but not required.
