Director, 3STEP Lacrosse Sales

The Director, 3STEP Lacrosse Sales reports to the National Director of Lacrosse at 3STEP Sports and is essential in driving the growth of our business. This position will work cross functionally with the Events and Marketing Departments to drive registration at our national tournaments and showcases. The responsibilities of the Director of Sales include overseeing the daily sales activities, meeting with major clubs, writing sales reports, designing effective sales strategies, and marketing company products and services. To be successful as our Director of Sales, you should have good leadership skills and the ability to drive company success. Ultimately, a top-notch Director of Sales should have an in-depth knowledge of the market and competitive products and have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

This position is in-person and can be operated out of Boston, Baltimore or Denver.


  • Develop and communicate clear sales, revenue, and training goals for the lacrosse division and provide sales staff with appropriate feedback, coaching and direction for development
  • Achieve aggressive growth goals
  • Lead, mentor and motivate the sales team in making effective sales calls and presentations
  • Establish cold call, email, social media, and networking campaigns in conjunction with internal marketing
  • Identify, explore, and research new sales opportunities and partnerships
  • Recruit, interview, and make recommendations regarding hiring of sales managers and staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales reports
  • Work in lockstep with the various lacrosse brands to ensure “one voice” for all sales and service processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with other internal departments/brands/sports to ensure that organizational goals are met and develop external opportunities
  • Arrange meetings with senior management when applicable
  • Understand and articulate our advantage in the marketplace
  • Have complete understanding of our products & services
  • Work with the marketing department to design print and online promotional materials for the company’s products and services
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals
  • Manage sales team and maintaining sales operations
  • Outline and manage sales budgets
  • Set quarterly and annual sales goals and motivate the sales teams to achieve their goals
  • Monitor the market and competitor products and activities and provide detailed sales forecasting
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Create sales reports and provide feedback to the leadership team at company meetings
  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships



  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a sales leadership position
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a selling role and with sales technology and CRM software
  • Goal Oriented, History of Quota Achievement
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Active listener who is solutions oriented
  • Experience in objection handling and deal negotiation
  • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate sales team
  • Ability to build presentations and present to large audiences
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and externally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and CRM product
  • BA/BS Degree in a business-related field
  • Authenticity in sport of lacrosse
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products, and the market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
