3STEP Sports’ Marketing Operations Team consistently delivers campaigns that bring our brands’ stories to life while promoting and supporting their day to day programming and strategic initiatives. Aligning with each brands annual sales and marketing goals, this group provides best in class and cutting edge marketing functions and solutions to the vast array of 3 Step owned operators and club teams on a local, regional and national landscape.

We are looking for an innovative and creative leader to manage this group on a daily basis while developing and growing the Marketing Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing multiple competing priorities and coordinating overlapping deadlines. This person should feel comfortable working in a matrixed organization and will serve as the main point of contact for key divisions of the company translating needs into actionable marketing plans. The Marketing Director will have planning, tracking and oversight over the annual marketing operations budget. This person will be charged with annual performance review processes and employee performance and goal formation as well as performance improvement plans for all employees in the marketing organization. Additionally, this director will lead marketing planning, strategy, execution, asset creation, communication with senior leadership, and consistent analysis to evaluate the efficacy of our deliverables.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Develop strong relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders to promote initiatives and elevate their brands
  • Oversee management of projects end to end, reviewing requests, defining scope and objectives, trafficking of marketing assets, and setting expectations
  • Prioritize project work and create realistic project timelines, ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to deadlines for the entire marketing ops organization
  • Plan and institute a marketing strategy with calendars for partners based on historical and future needs
  • Host, lead and attend regular marketing meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Handle sensitive employee issues and company information
  • Manage shared 3 Step database
  • Represent marketing in weekly senior management meetings
  • Manage directly or indirectly the entire marketing operations team including social, digital, graphic and content functions


  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in integrated internal and external marketing functions
  • Experience overseeing print, social and digital development and execution
  • Experience implementing and utilizing CRM system
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills with collaborative spirit
  • Experience presenting in front of large groups and senior leadership teams
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable taking initiative and evaluating priorities company-wide
  • Excellent organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

This position is based out of the 3STEP corporate headquarters in Wilmington, MA.
