Sales & Business Development – Basketball Apparel

3STEP Sports, LLC is looking for a Sales & Business Development – Basketball Apparel manager for Club & Travel sports with a focus on Basketball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Fastpitch and Baseball. 3STEP Sports is the largest youth sport event and club operator in the nation, providing brands with the ability to impact more athletes than ever in a unique and authentic way. The 3STEP reach spans 40+ states and currently serves more than 2.5 million athletes. We deliver a premier, inspiring and authentic experience – dedicated to perfecting every aspect of the athlete journey. Encompassing industry-leading tournaments, nationally recognized club programs, premier media content and more, 3STEP is the standard of the youth sports experience. 

These positions report to the Head of Sales @ 3STEP Sports and will work cross functionally with our Account Management teams, Merchandising, Marketing Sport Directors and Customer Service. This is a full-time role that requires travel and has the flexibility of working remotely. This position will be essential in driving the growth of our apparel business.

Objective of the role:

  • Generate new club sport business opportunities and relationships
  • Network with internal sport verticals to develop external opportunities
  • Achieve aggressive growth goals
  • Identify quality opportunities and strategic targets
  • Present, negotiate, and close long term agreements with new club partnerships
  • Establish cold call, email, and social media, and networking campaigns in conjunction with internal marketing
  • Arrange meetings with senior management when applicable
  • Understand and articulate our advantage in the marketplace
  • Have complete understanding of our products & services

Preferred skills & experience:

  • 3-5 Years Business Development experience
  • Goal Oriented, History of Quota Achievement
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Active listener who is solutions oriented
  • Experience in objection handling and deal negotiation
  • Ability to build presentations and present to large audiences
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and externally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Authenticity in sport is a bonus
