3STEP Sports Names Go4Ellis Official Athletic Training Services Provider
May 19, 2020
WILMINGTON, Mass. — 3STEP Sports, the largest youth sport event and club operator in the nation, has named Go4Ellis its official athletic training services provider through a partnership that will connect coaches, tournament directors, leagues and camps directly with on-demand athletic trainers.
Launched on the premise that an athletic trainer should be present at every game, camp or clinic, Go4Ellis is a platform that streamlines the process of finding and hiring per diem athletic trainers and concurrently provides an accessible and valuable opportunity to athletic trainers nationwide looking to offer their services.
Founded in 2016, 3STEP Sports operates more than 1,100 events and dozens of clubs for youth athletes spanning 34 states and across seven sports: baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, softball and volleyball.
Hosting premiere tournaments, clinics and camps, as well as many of the most recognized clubs nationwide, 3STEP Sports annually serves more than 1.8 million athletes.
By empowering tournament directors and coaches across different divisions with the Go4Ellis platform, which includes a user-friendly app, 3STEP Sports leadership hopes to make all sports safer and allow athletes to get the most out of their experience by focusing on training, performance and competition.
“As our organization continues to expand and provide world-class experiences across a growing number of sports and events and in different parts of the country, it becomes paramount that we staff each and every engagement—no matter how small—with professional athletic training services,” said David Geaslen, Founder & Managing Partner of 3STEP Sports.
“Go4Ellis is a resource that allows us to ensure a high level of safety at all of our tournaments, camps, showcases and clinics. Anywhere we are hosting athletes, we want to provide a safety net to ensure that, in the inevitable scenario where an athlete suffers an injury, he or she is able to receive swift attention from qualified medical professionals.”
Conceptualized by longtime athletic trainer and current company Chief Medical Officer, Ellis Mair, NXTsports founder and current Go4Ellis CEO, Andy Hayes, the platform’s genesis was in response to the challenges of hiring athletic trainers for NXTsports’ national tournament footprint.
The Go4Ellis platform currently provides connectivity to over 10,000 athletic trainers, and that number continues to grow. More than 1,500 event operators utilize Go4Ellis, and the platform has so far provided more than 38,000 hours of staffing for athletic trainers. Additionally, all of the trainers on the Go4Ellis platform are members of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
“Go4Ellis is excited to partner with one of the industry leaders in youth sports to promote health and participant safety. We applaud 3STEP Sports for their dedication to providing thousands of athletes access to athletic training services across the country, ” commented Andrew Hayes, CEO of Go4Ellis.
