August 13, 2021
WILMINGTON, Mass., Aug. 13, 2021 — 3STEP Sports, the nation’s largest youth sports club and event operator, has acquired Seacoast United Sports Club, which has over 5,000 athletes across soccer and field hockey.
The partnership will enhance the impact Seacoast United makes on athletes in the greater New England area. In addition, it will also allow the club to grow its footprint and add resources to each sport.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Seacoast United, which has a long-standing reputation for bringing out the best in grassroots athletes through athletic and personal development,” said 3STEP Sports CEO and founder David Geaslen. “We both align on our commitment to provide a premier sport experience, whether it’s a development or elite program, to every athlete who participates in one of our clubs or events.”
3STEP Sports has added more than 45 club and event operators over the last 2 ½ years, which has enabled youth sports operators to impact more athletes than ever in a unique and authentic way. The 3STEP reach spans more than 40 states and serves more than 2.5 million athletes across eight sports. Encompassing industry-leading tournaments, nationally spanning club programs, premier media content and more, the mission of 3STEP is to be the standard of the youth sports experience and create consistency in the industry.
For Seacoast United, a shared passion among its directors, players and fans has turned a small New Hampshire soccer club into one of the most successful athletic organizations in the region. Founded in 1992 with the simple mission to advance the physical and social wellbeing of kids and adults through competitive soccer, Seacoast United has grown exponentially ever since, expanding into Massachusetts and Maine and encompassing much of the greater New England area.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with 3STEP Sports,” said Seacoast United Sports Club CEO Paul Willis. “3STEP has proven to be a standard of operational excellence and we firmly believe that this union will allow Seacoast to continue to provide a world-class experience and additional opportunities for all of our athletes in the years ahead.”
Geaslen said that Seacoast United will serve as the foundational piece for 3STEP to extend its reach into soccer and add a wealth of indoor and outdoor facilities that will provide additional training space for athletes across New England. “This is an incredible addition to our growing team of youth sport experts. We look forward to collaborating with Paul Willis, Ian Burgess, and their team to continue the growth of youth soccer throughout the country.”
3STEP Sports and Seacoast United will collaborate to create an authentic experience both on and off the field for the club’s participants and their families.
